About Scott

Scott Hoster joined Voorn, Jaworski, & Preston PLLC in an “of counsel” capacity in November of 2023 after practicing with the firm of Davis Dystrup Hoster & Jarot PC from 1987 to 2023. From 1985 to 1987, he served as an assistant state’s attorney in Will County.

Mr. Hoster has previously been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Will County Bar Association. He was also a member of the Appellate Lawyers Association and served as a board member from the Third Appellate District for two years. He has been a member of the Chicago Bar Association since 1985 and is still a member of the Mechanics Lien Subcommittee of the CBA. 

Mr. Hoster has argued cases before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Third District Appellate Court. He has tried 25 jury trials in state court and has tried hundreds of bench trials in state courts throughout Illinois. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals (7th Circuit) and is a member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He presently serves as a Hearing Officer for the Illinois Attorney Registration and Discipline Commission.
