About Katie

Kathleen (Katie) Rock is an associate attorney at Voorn, Jaworski, & Preston, PLLC. She focuses her practice on estate planning, guardianship and other probate proceedings, as well as trust litigation. She has been appointed as GAL in both probate and family law matters.

Ms. Rock received her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, she externed with the Honorable Judge Leida J. Gonzalez Santiago of the Cook County Circuit Court.  and was actively involved in the Kent Justice Foundation, which is a public interest student organization that seeks to raise financial support for a Fellowship Program for students who choose to serve the public sector during law school.

For undergrad, she attended Marquette University and graduated with Honors, majoring in Criminology & Law Studies and minoring in Political Science and Mathematics. During her time at Marquette University, she was inducted as a member of the following honor societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Nu (Jesuit Universities), and Pi Mu Epsilon (mathematics). She also interned for Senator Herb Kohl at his Milwaukee office while working part-time at the university.

Ms. Rock is a current member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Will County Bar Association, Will County Women’s Bar Association, and Estate Planning Council of Will County. She was the Co-Founder and former Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Will County Bar Association. She has been a speaker at continuing legal education seminars hosted by the Will County Bar Association and ICLE. She is also an officer of her chapter of P.E.O., a philanthropic educational organization.
