
OLIVE WASSEN
Attorney
Olive Wassen concentrates her practice in elder law, which includes decedent's estates, adult guardianship, trust and estate administration and litigation, estate planning, and long term care planning. Olive works with empathy and integrity to meet the intersectional needs of each of her clients.
Olive earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. During law school Olive served as secretary and treasurer of a civil rights organization, interned at two private elder law firms, and externed with a non-profit focused on elder and disability law rights. With over four years of experience, Olive has developed exceptional client advocacy and drafting skills. Olive is also a proud Drake University Alumnae, where she earned two degrees; a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
Olive is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, where she is a member of the Probate Practice Committee, Elder & Disability Law Committee, and LGBTQIA+ Committee. She is also a member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and its Illinois Chapter, where she is a member of two committees. Outside of the legal community, she is the Co-Chair of the Drake University Regional Alumni Board for the Chicago Area, and on the Associate Board for the Lupus Society of Illinois.
In her freetime, Olive enjoys going to local restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
