HEATHER E. VOORN

Partner

Heather E. Voorn is a partner with Voorn, Jaworski, &, Preston, PLLC.  She devotes her legal
practice to Elder Law. Ms. Voorn is board certified as a Certified Elder Law Attorney* (CELA) by
the National Elder Law Foundation which is certified by the American Bar Association.

Ms. Voorn is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Illinois
NAELA Chapter, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association and the Estate
Planning Council of Greater Joliet. Ms. Voorn is also accredited by the Veteran’s Administration,
and serves on the faculty of the National Business Institute and the Illinois Institute of Continuing
Legal Education. She is also a co-author of Advising Elderly Clients and their Families, and has
spoken locally and nationally on elder law issues. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for
the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, NAELA Foundation, CASA of River Valley, Illinois
Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and the Silver Cross Foundation.

Ms. Voorn earned her Bachelor’s degree from The Florida State University, magna cum laude, and
earned her J.D. at The John Marshall Law School, where she also graduated magna cum laude. While
a student at The John Marshall Law School, Ms. Voorn was on the Law Review and externed for the
Honorable Charles R. Norgle of the Northern District of Illinois District Court. She also has been
published in the Forum on Public Policy: A Journal of the Oxford Round Table.

*Although board certification is not required by the Illinois Supreme Court in order to practice elder
law, it evidences a strong commitment to and expansive knowledge of elder law.
